It’s been a while, hasn’t it? We’re very sorry about the lack of communication in the past few weeks. We’ve been very busy with a couple of different projects and some things got away from us. The good news is now we have a bunch of cool stuff to show you guys, some of which we will show now and some will be shown fully in the near future.
So, what’s been happening? We reached an important milestone for Toys of War shortly after we introduced the Tank and decided to take a short intermission to do some other small projects that had sprung up.
One of those things was the Epic MegaJam that happened recently. The Epic MegaJam is a week long game jam to commemorate the year anniversary of Epics normal monthly game jams. There were prizes put up by Epic and SpeedTree and others. All of the submissions were even played and streamed online by Allar, a streamer much loved by the Epic/Unreal Engine community. We didn’t end up winning anything but we had a lot of fun.
You can check out the game we made called The Earitable Giant. It’s a game where the village you live in resides on the back of a giant that has been having problems with its ear. It’s up to you, the elderly candlestick maker, to venture into the ear and find the source of the disturbance. The best part is that everything in the game was made by us, so you get to hear some more awesome voice overs and our first attempt at foley sound.
That’s right. Critically acclaimed and winner of multiple GOTY awards (probably), RegentZ, has had a halloween update. But halloween was a few days ago you say? Well, I say that’s what makes it even spookier!
Okay, so it may be a little late. We ran into a few issues at the last minute since we made the game with an old version of the Unreal Engine 4 and had to delay the release. Speaking of which, we will have an official announcement of the release shortly.
Oh my, what is that! Yes, I think that is! That’s definitely a Laser Space Monk! Which is a coincidence because that is what we called the game.
This is a teaser from a new game that we’ve been working on for a series of technical demos that we were asked to do. I won’t give away too much here as we are still a little bit away from officially launching it but its another small game that we will be giving away for free. It has been designed for players to fight each other (multiplayer) while using VR (although it will work without VR). That’s it, I’m not saying anything else!
So, what’s next. Well, for now it’s back to Toys of War. We will be resuming development on that and have a lot of cool things coming to show you guys. We are looking at having a Steam Greenlight page up for Toys of War soon that will probably coincide with the release of Laser Space Monks. We are also going to be getting back into LolliProp soon with the hopes of releasing that before the end of the year. Expect to see more consistent information about both as we try to get back on the communication horse.
